The Integral Educators Community was born from a growing need to bring parents and educators together to learn and co-create a new kind of education - one rooted in consciousness, connection, and collective growth. True transformation in education requires a growing movement of integral practitioners who find the courage and are willing to step outside conventional frameworks and embody new ways of learning and being for the children of the world.

INTEGRAL EDUCATION - IEC

Over the past 25 years, we have researched how an Integral Education can be used to transform how we raise children, by studying research and the lived experiences of schools and educational approaches from around the world that apply integral principles to children's learning. As a framework that embraces multiple perspectives and levels of human experience, integral theories become a powerful tool for peace, inviting empathy, mutual respect, and deeper dialogue across differences. By fostering awareness of our inner lives and our interconnectedness with others and the planet, it nurtures the conditions for more compassionate and cooperative ways of living and learning together.

Three principles of true teaching were formulated by Sri Aurobindo in the beginning of the 20th century. They form the base of Integral Education, guiding the Why? What? and How? of integral learning, clearly defining it's aims, structures, methods and content. Uniting diverse voices, perspectives, and insights, supports and strengthens the understanding of these principles. This requires integration, and no single school of thought is wide enough or experienced enough to hold all the answers. Integral educators need to be active researchers, creative explorers, and courageous leaders, searching for and incorporating knowledge and experience from around the world, together with a process of deep critical inquiry and conscious personal development.

Integral theories, rooted in the evolution of human consciousness and our shifting value systems throughout history, have emerged over the past century through the insights of diverse thinkers, from Sri Aurobindo,  Jean Gebser, Clare Graves to Ken Wilber, and many others, each approaching integral thought from perspectives influenced by their own cultural history. Today, we look to build our integral practice including both Eastern and Western influences, integrating insights, knowledge and experience of philosophers, researchers, practitioners and schools internationally, each contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of the evolution of human consciousness, spirituality, global complexity, interconnection, and educational practice, linking our past and present to the future.

If you are one of the many parents or educators questioning what present day education actually serves our children - we invite you to find the courage to step outside of conventional frameworks to embody new ways of learning and being that meet the real needs of children growing up in the 21st century.

IEC is a global initiative operating from London, UK, created not to impose answers, but to ask critical and self-reflective questions through our online programs. It invites us - parents and educators internationally - to come together to change how we raise and educate our children. Realising true peace through our children's inner evolution, by providing them with capacities and awareness that will enable them to create more conscious, connected, and compassionate future.
